Tincture is a Houston-based project crafting heavy, atmospheric sounds with a witchy, doom-laden edge and a '90s alternative pulse.

Inspired by bands like Windhand, King Woman, and True Widow, Tincture delves into themes of pain, transformation, and self-discovery, approaching songwriting as a form of spellcraft and ritual. Written and conceived as a solo vision, Tincture is brought to life with the help of a rotating cast of friends and collaborators.

In 2024, Tincture released their debut single, "Punish," a raw meditation on self-inflicted pain and the pull toward someone who hurts you, paired with crushing guitars and brooding atmosphere. The following year brought "Bruja," a more ritualistic, incantatory track that leans into the project's witchier side, all slow-building tension and hypnotic repetition.

“Another remarkable contribution from a Houston band to the current shoegaze revival sweeping the underground scene. Bruja begins with thunderous guitars flashing across the evening sky at the perfect head-bobbing pace. The drums drive through the moody cloud overhead, setting the stage for an off-kilter and genuinely eerie lead guitar that plays a melody fit for any Wiccan ritual… The verses see the guitars soften and sparkle, while the vocals delicately weave their way around the neck of an unsuspecting sacrifice.”
